About AdvisArts

AdvisArts Consulting helps arts and cultural organizations and communities create innovative and adaptive responses to internal and external change. We provide planning, strategy development, management consulting, research, and training that generate effective action and strengthen organizations, the sector and communities. Our approach values the power of the arts and the dynamic interrelationship between the individuals who work, volunteer and participate in the cultural sector. We see the arts and the larger cultural sector as vital partners in navigating a vibrant future of our neighborhoods, towns and cities.

AdvisArts works with the people who create, develop, explore and support art and cultural opportunities. We collaborate with our clients to leverage opportunity, tackle challenges and find appropriate solutions. Our expertise is in moving our clients’ mission and initiatives forward. We focus on encouraging clear-sighted exploration that leads to effective action.

Professional project teams are assembled and tailored to each unique client. Our commitment is to work in partnership with our clients to create solutions that lead to productive change and new opportunities, and foster excellence in the cultural sector.

AdvisArts was founded in 1982 in response to a need for professional development services for individual artists. Today we work with arts organizations of all disciplines and at all stages of development as well as public entities and community organizations. AdvisArts’ clients now span the cultural spectrum: museums, city governments and agencies, artists’ organizations, grassroots community groups, theatres, foundations, businesses, arts commissions, art councils, economic development centers, universities and colleges, and individual artists.
